Join the Paul Laurence Dunbar Branch of ASALH as our president, Omope Carter Daboiku shares her ancestors' migration from the mountains of Appalachia to Ironton - an Ohio river town with a richly documented history of Anti-Slavery Leagues and Underground Railroad activity. A seasoned storyteller with international credits, Omope will use techniques gained at an ASALH/NPS "digital storytelling" workshop, plus original poetry, prose, and imagery.
