Language, Literacy and Lore
Language, Literacy and Lore is a NABS national community outreach initiative in support of NEA's Read Across America signature program. During the month of March, NABS Affiliates will host storytelling performances and workshops in their cities for youth and family audiences, targeting underserved communities. Free books and literacy aides will be distributed to audience members.
About NEA Read Across America. The National Education Association is building a nation of readers through its signature program, NEA’s Read Across America. Now in its 20th year, this year-round program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources.
